Obituary for Sandra J French

Sandra J. French, 80, of Wall, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Manor by the Sea, with
her family by her side. Sandy was born in Kearny, NJ, then moved to Wall and has been a resident ever
since. She was in the first graduating class of Wall High School, where she was a baton-twirler, as well as
playing tennis, softball, and the saxophone. Sandy had worked for Kirms Printing in Avon as a
bookkeeper for many years. She was an active member of the West Belmar United Methodist Church
and dedicated countless hours serving on committees, welcoming everyone as a greeter, making crafts
for fundraisers, and performing in the church variety show. Sandy was especially well-known for her
fellowship snacks after Sunday services.

In Sandy’s spare time, she loved shopping, listening to music, watching movies, playing mahjong,
reading romance novels, and going out dancing with her friends. Above all, she loved spending time with
her family. Sandy and her twin sister, Bobbi, were inseparable and the family’s biggest cheerleaders.
They organized the annual family picnic and hosted Sunday dinners, holidays, birthdays, and summer
pool parties. The twins attended all their grandchildren, nieces and nephews’ events showing support.
Sandy always put others above herself and made everyone—young and old—feel special and loved.
She is predeceased by her sisters, June Newman, Marion Hall, and Mary “Bobbi” White. Sandra is
survived by her two sons, Andrew French and his wife, Jill of Brick, and Adam French and his wife,
Megan of Wall; grandchildren, Camryn, Jackson, Amelia, and Emma; Sandra is also survived by many
loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35 at New Bedford Road,
