Obituary for Sheila Elizabeth Flanagan
Sheila Elizabeth Flanagan, 73, of Brick passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick surrounded by her family. Mrs. Flanagan was a certified nursing assistant with VNA of Monmouth and Ocean Counties in Red Bank before retiring in 2007. She was a communicant of St. Martha’s RC Church, Point Pleasant.
Born and raised in the Bronx, she lived in Mamaroneck, NY, Hazlet and Lakewood before moving to Brick,NJ in 1994.
She was predeceased by her sister, Margie Moloney. Surviving is her husband, Frank Flanagan of 35 years; son, Peter Kevin Donaghy and his wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Kimberly Ann Ellis and her husband, Todd of Ephrata, PA and Kathleen Elizabeth Mulder and her husband, Andrew of Wake Forest, NC; and three grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth, Erin Elizabeth and Ethan Donovan.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4 from 6-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Memorial Mass will be offered 9:30am on Saturday at St. Martha’s RC Church, Point Pleasant. Entombment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum, Tinton Falls.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for Noreen Moloney or to Hackensack Meridian Health Hope Tower at Jersey Shore University Medical Centetr, 1945 Rt. 33 Neptune NJ 07753 Tax ID 22-2342452 would be greatly appreciated.
