Obituary for Theresa Welle (Schaefer)
Theresa (Schaefer) Welle, 90, of Wall died peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at her home. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank Welle in 2004; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Nick Sidorick; and by her brothers, James, Charles, George, Thomas, Joseph, and Robert Schaefer.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jeff Tupala of Boulder, Colorado; two brothers, John Schaefer of Pennsylvania, and Raymond and his wife, Patricia of Sea Girt; two sisters, Florence Higgins and her husband, Frank of Austin, Texas and Noreen McAleavy of Wall, NJ; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
Mrs. Welle was a member of the Eucharistic Adoration Society, the over 55 Club, a Eucharistic Minister at St. Andrew’s Church in Roswell, Georgia and an Auxiliary Member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in Newark, she lived in Georgia for many years before moving to Wall 25 years ago.
She and her husband Frank were members of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, South Eastern Liuency.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30am on Monday, March 8, 2021 at St. Catharine’s RC Church in Spring Lake. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Wall.
In lieu of flowers, requests that donations may be made in her name to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
