Obituary

Thomas Vincent Fatigante, Sr., 62, of Brick passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick surrounded by his family. Tom retired in 2011 as a Captain of the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office in Freehold after 25 years of service. He has dedicated over 30 years of his life in law enforcement. He was a former Chaplain of the Fraternal Order of Police, Monmouth County Lodge #30 where he also served on the Pension Committee, Tactical Committee, the Award’s Committee and also was chairman of the Toy Drive. He was a member of the Manasquan Elks Lodge # 2534, the Bricktown Free & Accepted Masons, and the Garden State Law Enforcement Association where he was a former Executive Director. Tom also was very active with Tim McLoone’s Holiday Express within the community.
He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s RC Church in Spring Lake.
Born in Westchester, NY he grew up in Hazlet and lived in Belmar before moving to Brick 26 years ago.
Tom was predeceased by his wife, Valerie G. (Brown) Fatigante in 2014; his parents, Vincent T. and Jean Fatigante; and by his two beloved dogs, Snowbear and Snowball. Surviving is his son, Thomas V. Fatigante, Jr. of Brick; his sister, Leslie Cranmer and her husband, Gerald of Keansburg; his longtime companion, Deborah Borden of Brick; his goddaughter and niece, Victoria Cranmer of Keansburg; his godson, Matthew Moore of Howell and his parents, Eli and Linda Moore; as well as his beloved dog, Brew.
Visiting will be on Friday from 3pm-6pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be conducted at 6pm in the funeral home. Cremation will be private. I'll always remember chatting with Thomas when dropping off his son to our home so our boys could hang out and play. He was so very generous bringing goodies for them to snack on. Just the finest most lovely human being! Forever in our hearts, rest easy my friend!
