Obituary for Tom Kenny

E. Thomas Kenny, 80, of Spring Lake, NJ passed away on Sunday December 20th, 2020. Tom will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother. Tom was born and raised in New Brunswick before settling in Spring Lake in 1975, where he raised his family. Tom was a graduate of St. Peter’s College (Jersey City) and Fordham School of Pharmacy. After graduating from Pharmacy School, he was known for his exemplary work ethic, leading Tom to be the proud owner of Home Drug Store in Asbury Park for 37 years.

In the summer of 1967, he met his loving wife Judy and they went on to have five sons. Tom enjoyed teaching his boys the game of basketball and giving his time to the Spring Lake/ Sea Girt Little League. Tom held strong to his Catholic faith for his entire life, was a friend of Bill W and cherished his Irish heritage. Tom will be missed by all, and his sons will miss his daily phone calls to talk business and college basketball.

Tom is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Kenny along with his wife, Judy Kenny.

He is survived by his five sons, Tommy, Kevin, Patrick, David, and Christopher; his sister Mary Folan; his brother's Jimmy (Sherri), Kenny, Joe (Penny), Kenny and Mike (Patti) Kenny. His nephews Tim, Ryan, Brendon, Sean; his nieces Kerri, Shannon, Erin, and Alicia.

Tom’s Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday December 31st at 10:30am at St. Catharine’s RC Church, Spring Lake.
