Wayne Bernard Madsen, 83, of Brick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Ocean Medical Center.

Wayne was born in Hoboken and graduated from Demerest High School. He lived in Hoboken until he married Irene in 1983 and then moved to North Bergen.  In 2004 they moved to Princeton Commons in Brick.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, Anthony (Virginia) Labadie as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Madsen, Driscoll, Casler and Eggling families, especially Joseph, Susan, Stephen and Raymond Driscoll who were always there to help.

After graduation, Wayne joined the U.S. Army and served 18 months in Korea.  After his tour of duty, he returned home and joined the Hoboken Fire Department.  He was a Hoboken Firefighter until his retirement in 1987.
