Obituary for Willard H. "Bill" Mount Jr.

Willard H. (Bill) Mount, 90, passed away peacefully with family by his side on June 8, 2020.
Born in Beacon, New York to Thelma and Willard Mount, Bill was raised in Freehold, NJ, graduated from Freehold High School, and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He and his wife Marion resided in Howell for 40 years, moving to Brick, NJ after retirement.
Bill worked for Garden State Refrigeration before embarking on a career as an inspector with the New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles (now NJMVC). He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge #16 in Freehold, NJ. Bill was a quiet, thoughtful man, with twinkling eyes and subtle humor. He and Marion enjoyed attending concerts and taking scenic road trips across America throughout their nearly 60 years of marriage.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Marion, his parents, Thelma and Willard, and siblings, Robert E., Harold T., and Dorothy J. Mount. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care of O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall NJ. Interment was at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls, NJ.
