William James (Bill) DeVoti Jr., 63 of Point Pleasant, passed away on June 11, 2019 with loving family by his side.
Bill grew up in Montclair, NJ. He graduated Immaculate Conception High School (1974) Montclair, NJ
and Seton Hall University (1981) West Orange, NJ.
Bill had a long career in manufacturing with Asbury Towel Company, Atlantic Mills Corp. and Shore Manufacturing.
He is predeceased by his parents Annabelle and William J. DeVoti Sr. and a brother George.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty Ann (Fortunato) DeVoti; his children Colleen and Meghan and their mother Joanne DeVoti of Spring Lake Heights; his six siblings and their spouses, Suzanne Fitzgerald of Wall, Marlene Fetterly of Bloomfield, Jacquelyn DeVoti of Lake Como, Mark DeVoti and wife Jean (George) of Cranford, Denise Sperrazza and husband Michael of Belmar and Mathew DeVoti and wife Laura (Vander Wende) of North Caldwell.
Bill is survived by thirteen nieces and nephews; Fitzgeralds (Catherine Boera, Bridget Figueiredo, Colin, Carolyn), Amanda (Fetterly) Stein, Joe Fetterly, Matthew DeVoti, Julie DeVoti, John DeVoti, Jillian DeVoti, Greg Sperrazza, Matthew Sperrazza and Michelle Sperrazza. He is also survived by his Aunt Priscilla (DeVoti) Fara of Blairstown, NJ and eleven great nieces and nephews; Raegan, Madison, Liam, Jacquelyn, Cameron, Charlie, Teddy, Luke, Jenna, Sophie and William.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ 07719 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:30am at St. Margaret’s Church, Corner of 3rd and Ludlow Aves., Spring Lake, NJ 07762. Please go directly to the Church on Saturday. There will not be a procession from the funeral home prior to the Mass.
