William Brian Gallagher 72 of Wall, NJ died Friday, March 6, 2020 at home. Born in Teaneck, NJ William lived in Pennington, NJ before moving to Spring Lake Hts and then Wall. He was a graduate of Monmouth University, where he played soccer. He served in the National Guard. William was a self-employed builder, working in Pennington for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Rose Church, Belmar. William was on the Board of Directors at Xanadu, Wall. Bill was an avid gardener.
William was predeceased by his parents Roger and Helene Gallagher. Surviving is his beloved wife of 34 years, Kathleen A. Gallagher, 2 daughters Corinne Gallagher of Oceanside, CA, Tina Stanton of New York, a granddaughter Avery, a niece Nadine Parlapiano and her husband Michael, 2 grand nephews Alec and Billy and a grandniece Trista.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 9AM until 10 AM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM at St. Rose Church, Belmar. Burial will follow in St. Catharine Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in William’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
