Obituary for William C. Muscato

William C. Muscato, 68 of Sea Girt passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his home. Born in Newark to the late Charles and Lucille Muscato, he was a graduate of Drew University and went on to live in New York, NY until moving to Sea Girt in 1993.
Bill was a successful Sales Executive and Sales Manager in the information technology industry for many years. Starting at Burroughs, he went on to work at Cincom, followed by a long career at Information Builders Inc. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Sales at Red Oak Software where he still consulted after his retirement.
Sports was one of Bill’s favorite things. He loved nothing more than cheering from the sidelines or coaching his kid’s many teams. Going back to his high school days, he was the captain of his Irvington High School football team and later went on to play rugby at Drew University. After graduation, he joined the Montclair Rugby Club where he made many life-long friends.
Bill is survived by his 3 loving children, William, Sabrina, and Michael Muscato. He is also survived by his brother, Peter Muscato and his wife Nina along with their 3 daughters Jessica, Amy and Allison.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 9:30am in St. Mark’s Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt. A private burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
Due to Gov. Murphy’s Covid-19 restrictions, there are limitations on capacity at the funeral home, guests are asked to briefly greet the family for the visitation and exit the building. Face-coverings must be worn to enter the building.
