Obituary for William Guenther

William "Bill" Guenther, 64, of Brick, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Irvington to the late Robert Sr. and Elizabeth Guenther, he grew up in Maplewood and was a graduate of Newark Academy in Livingston. Bill went on to attend the University of Miami graduating in 1972. He was a resident of Maplewood before moving to Brick thirty-five years ago. Bill enjoyed spending time at Monmouth Park racetrack, the Atlantic City casinos, and most of all, enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, especially his two grandsons, Christopher and Tyler.

Surviving are his loving sons, Chris Guenther and Greg Guenther and fiancé Ana, ex-wife Valerie, his brother Robert Jr. and wife Sandra, and many extended family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th from 3:00 to 5:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A memorial service will be held at 5:00PM after the visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions towards a memorial stone and tree may be made in William’s memory to Greg and Chris Guenther, c/o O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ 08724.
