Obituary for Raymond Howard Troxell

Raymond Howard  Troxell
Raymond Howard Troxell, 79, of Brick passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Troxell was a process operator for Bristol Meyer Squibb in New Brunswick before retiring. He also painted homes in Highland Park for many years. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1954-1958. He was an active member of the Brick VFW Post 8867. Mr. Troxell enjoyed spending time in the Poconos, doing puzzles and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA he lived in Edison for 30 years then moved to Brick and then Palm Coast, FL for 10 years before moving back to Brick this past year to be with his family.
Mr. Troxell was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Frances Troxell and brother, Clarence Troxell. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Joanne Catherine Smith Troxell; sons, Raymond E. and his wife Carolyn of Kendall Park, Jeffrey W. of Brick; daughter, Roxanne Morales and her husband, Alfredo of Brick; five grandchildren, Amanda, Priscilla, Tiffany, Raymond, and Tiffany; as well as his cousin, Linda Jakubs.
Visiting will be on Monday from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service and military honors will be conducted Monday 8pm in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.
