I was only lucky enough to get to spend time with Barbara a few times, but each time was a fond memory. She was one of those people who left an impression on you that you didn't forget. For me, my first memory of Barbara & Joe was a visit they made to our house which included a trip to the Zoo in DC... such a small event, but Barbara was kind, engaging, and caring to me.

My heart aches for your loss, Martin family. Our branch of the family tree knows what a loss like this feels like. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.

Mrs. Martin was always the nicest mom- I loved visiting and hanging at her home with Brian and our friends. I still remember her kindness and warmth to this day. My deepest condolences to the Martin family during this impossible time. All my love, Lauren Gulino- Fraser

Barbara, May your light continue to shine on those who knew you directly and those who may only know of your teachings through those you have helped in/outside the classroom. You glowed as a human and your spirit will continue to glow. One final thank you for all you have for me. I will look back upon those times and know you are still here in some capacity. ♥️🌻
