Obituary for Catherine Sakolsa (Ropina)

Catherine Sakolsa, 95, of Brick, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2014 at Burnt Tavern Manor in Brick, surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY to the late Brazo and Mary Ropina, she was a lifelong resident of Staten Island before only recently moving to Brick. She worked for C.H. Martin in Staten Island for over 40 years and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who adored her family and the quality time spent together.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Stephen in 1979
Surviving are her loving daughter Annette Alimossy and husband John, her dear grandchildren, Lisa Alimossy and John Alimossy and wife Annmarie, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Monique Santomassino, Stephen Spaulding, and Brianna Alimossy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 26th at St. Dominic R.C. Church, 250 Old Squan Road, Brick.
