Obituary for Marjorie Johnston (Newman)

Marjorie Johnston, 76, of Manasquan passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Johnston was a clerk for JCP&L in both Asbury Park and Morristown before her retirement. She also worked at First Merchants Bank in Manasquan and Ocean County National Bank in Point Pleasant Beach for a total of 33 years. Mrs. Johnston was a 1956 graduate of Manasquan High School.
Born and raised in Wall Twp., she has been a resident of Manasquan since 1964.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Johnston in 2013; her parents, Harold and Florence Newman; and by her brothers Donald and Richard Newman. Surviving is her sister, Bonnie Meeks and her husband William of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11am on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle. Donations may be made in her name to a charity of choice.
