Obituary for Roseann M Santoro

Dr. Roseann M. Santoro of Spring Lake, NJ entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, July 28, 2014. Born on October 28, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ to Anthony Santoro and Rose (Cardiello) Santoro.
Dr. Santoro was a lifelong scholar. She was Valedictorian of her Academy of St. Aloysius graduating class. She taught history there while completing her Doctorate in Psychology at St. John's University on Staten Island, NY. Dr. Santoro taught Child Psychology and Creativity. She retired as a full professor from Jersey City State College in 1992.
Dr. Santoro is survived by her two brothers: Lt. Col. John (USA Ret.) (Linda) of Scottsdale, AZ and Dr. Anthony (Pat) of Metuchen, NJ; three nieces: Judy Lutz (Larry), Patty Rejent (Joe), and Mary Beth Knoll (Mike), and two nephews : Tony (Marcella) and Chris (Heather). She is also survived by thirteen great-nieces and nephews. Dr. Santoro was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held at O'Brien Funeral Home at 2028 Route 35, Wall Township, NJ on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, August 4, 2014 at St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, 215 Essex Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ, followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ.
