Obituary for Mary Ellen Barrett (O'Toole)


Mary Ellen Barrett (nee O'Toole), 94, of Spring Lake, N.J. died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, N.J.

Born in New York City, Mary Ellen resided in Port Washington, NY before moving to Spring Lake years ago.
Mrs. Barrett was a homemaker, and a very loving, compassionate, mother.
She enjoyed teaching Ballroom Dancing at Arthur Murray's, and was a First Class Machinist during WW II.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cornelius Patrick Barrett in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Barrett, Philadelphia, PA and her sons Neal Barrett, Arnold, MD and Justin Barrett, Miami, FL, and two grandchildren, Jackie, and Kristina.

She has many nieces and nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews on the Barrett , Oswald and Lee side of the family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, November 29th, at St. Catharine Catholic Church, 215 Essex Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery, Wall, NJ. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St Catharine's Church for the Sisters and Priests giving their diligent service over the past 9 years.
