Obituary for Victor Thomas Bini

Victor Thomas  Bini
Victor T. Bini, 71, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 26th, at his home after a long battle with ALS.
He leaves his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia (Barrett) Bini; his son Scot Bini and his wife Lauri; his daughter Patricia DiMaio and her husband Barry DiMaio; his daughter Toni Ann Pilla and her husband Patrick. He leaves his six grandchildren, Conor, Emma, Cailin, Jake, Caroline, and Mary Cate.
Born in Hoboken in 1943, he was raised in Hoboken and then Union City. The son of Anthony and Angelina Bini, he was a long time resident of Verona. His love of the beach and the Jersey Shore brought him to Sea Girt where he resided since 1984.
He is a graduate of St. Michaels High School in Union City, where he met his sweetheart and future wife, Patricia Barrett. He excelled in football and both were very active in the SMHS Alumni Association.
For thirty years, he was a loyal and active member of the Newspaper and Mail Deliverer Union, working for the Daily News in New York City and The Jersey Journal in Jersey City, where he formed lifelong friendships.
Visitation will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Route 35, Wall, NJ, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 4 – 8 PM. Funeral Mass will be at St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt, on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 9:30 AM. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Joan Dancy & PALS Foundation, Riverview Medical Center, P. O. Box 8157, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
