Obituary for Donald Schleif

Donald Schleif, 87, of Brick, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2015 at Willow Springs in Brick. Born in Bloomfield to the late Louis and Mollie Schleif, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Schleif went on to become a Bloomfield Fireman for 27 years, retiring as Senior Captain in 1979, when he moved to Pine Beach with his beloved wife Marion, they spent many wonderful winters in Englewood Florida before moving to Brick. Donald was a master craftsman, who could fix anything. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf, most of all, he enjoyed quality time spent with his family.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years Marion Ellis Schleif, his loving children, Donald, Jr. and wife Sandra, Karen Chomuk and husband Nicholas, his cherished grandchildren, Daniel Chomuk, Jessica Duffy and her husband Derek and his great granddaughter Kyla.
