Caesar Charles  Plietz
Caesar Charles Plietz, 95, of Greenbriar II Brick, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2015, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Ft. Lee, to the late Olinto and Angelina Plietz, he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army, during World War II in Panama and Europe. Mr. Plietz was an officer of the Empire Trust Company and the Bank of New York, from which he retired in 1984. He was a former longtime resident of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, before moving to Greenbirar II in 1987. An accomplished pianist, he brought beautiful music into any room with a piano. Caesar lived a life of kindness and caring and brought joy to all who knew him, he cherished the quality time spent with his family.

He lived a long, healthy, and happy life; and was the beloved husband and "Honey" for 71 years, to Carole. "Dad" to Claudia & Don, Michele, Clinton, Sandy, and Bob. "Grandpa" to John and Irene, Robert and Kristin, and David Clancy, as well as Matthew and Yesenia, Christopher, and Michael Plietz, and "GG Pop" to Zoe Grace and Liam John Clancy, and Nia Gilmore, and a dear friend to so many.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 25th at St. Martha’s R.C. Church, Point Pleasant. Entombment and military honors will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Caesar’s memory to St. Michael’s Special School, 1522 Chippewa St, New Orleans, LA 70130
