Obituary for Vita J. Mulé (Badami)

Vita J. Mulé, 78, passed away peacefully on April 24th 2015 at her home in Lakewood. Born in Brooklyn to the late Joseph and Helen Badami, she raised her family in Wantagh, Long Island, and spent fifteen years in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, before recently moving to Four Seasons, Lakewood. Mrs. Mulé was a Controller for the Nassau County Defender Based Advocacy Program before her retirement. She was the former President of the School Board for St. Frances in Wantagh, and more recently; a member of the Rosary Alter Society at St. Dominic R.C. Church in Brick, and a member of the Italian-American Club and Women’s Club at Four Seasons. Vita had a natural talent for crafts, she created beautiful quilts that she would donate to local nursing homes and to benefit single mothers. She was an avid reader, an amazing cook, and enjoyed playing mahjong, knitting, and doing needlepoint. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed the quality time spent with her cherished family.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 57 years, Joseph A. Mulé, her loving children, Joe Mulé and wife Laurie, Bob Mulé and wife Cathy, Tom Mulé and wife Teresa, Mark Mulé and partner Dustin, Marie Bagarozza, and Mike Mulé, her cherished grandchildren, Gina, Elena, Christine, Stefanie, Lydia, Jennifer, Joey, Victoria, John, and Isabella, and her dear sister Joanne Pietsch and husband Henry.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27th and Tuesday, April 28th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Wednesday, April 29th at St. Ephrem Parish, 929 Bay Ridge Pkwy, Brooklyn. Interment will follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
