Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mark Driscoll can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Mark Michael Driscoll

Mark Michael Driscoll, 30 of Eatontown and a lifelong resident of Avon by the Sea passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Mark was born in Neptune, raised in Avon by the Sea, NJ, where he attended Avon Elementary School. He then attended Red Bank Catholic High School where he played football as an Offensive and Defensive Lineman. He was a volunteer for the Avon by the Sea Fire Department, and also a member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, Belmar. Mark was an officer of the Port Authority Police Department, for 8 years where he served proudly and honorably. He was a member of the 111th Class currently serving at Newark Liberty Airport.
He is survived by his parents, John and Arlene (nee Cash) Driscoll , his brothers Colin and Sean Driscoll, his love Loujain Charif, his uncles William and wife Sydelle of Northfield, NJ, Robert Driscoll of Neptune City, John Cash and wife Kathy of Holmdel, and his aunt Stephanie Pandolfo and her husband Steven of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. He will be sorely missed by all, especially by his pups Mickey and Rocky.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Private committal will be at the convenience of Mark’s family.
In lieu of flowers, Mark’s family specifically requests donations to the Avon by the Sea Fire Department, P.O. Box 202, Avon by the Sea, NJ 07717. Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home on Saturday.
