Thomas M  Griffin
Thomas M. Griffin, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his home in Lakewood. Born and raised in New York, during his childhood summers he would stay in West End, Long Branch. He resided in Middletown from 1954-1993 and has lived in Lakewood since 1993.

Thomas served in the United States Army during World War II. He used the GI Bill to become a refrigeration technician. He started work for Westinghouse then later at Fort Monmouth in the post engineers.

Mr. Griffin was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Middletown and Holy Name Society at St. Mary’s Church in Middletown. He was a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick for many years.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years Eileen 2002 and his sister Josephine Zwick.

Surviving are his sons, Patrick T. Griffin and his wife Sheryl and Michael T. Griffin and His wife Marie; his two granddaughters Samantha and Laci ; his nephew’s, Evan, Corey and Adam and his niece Allison.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick. Cremation is private.
