Obituary for Martin James Murray

Martin James Murray
Martin James Murray, 53, of Brick died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 15, 2018. He was raised in Dover and moved with his parents to Rio Rancho NM in 1984 until 2007 when he relocated back to New Jersey.

His pastimes included attending concerts, especially Bruce Springsteen, WWE and bowling. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees and Giants as well as everything Notre Dame.

He has been employed since high school at McDonalds in both NM and Brick where he always greeted his drive thru customers with his infectious smile and a warm welcome.

Martin was predeceased by his parents Joseph Murray and Mary Reid Murray.

Surviving are his brother John Murray and wife Jo-Ann and Christina Gordon and husband Thomas Haynes. Also survived by nieces Amanda (Chris) Fraser of Dubai, Jessica and JayLeen Murray of Brick and nephew Joseph Murray of South Carolina.

Martin has touched more lives and hearts than anyone could fathom. His three most cherished friends of over 30 years who thought of themselves more as brothers; Robert Sears, Jeff Masker and Rick Fusco, best described Martin this way: “the warmest, most kind-hearted, sincere, gentle soul with a heart of gold and the closest you can get to perfection in a human”.
