Charles G. "Chuck"  Nuzzo
Charles G. “Chuck” Nuzzo, 79, of Sea Girt passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Mr. Nuzzo was a registered pharmacist and owned Charles Pharmacy in Paterson before retiring in 1997. He was a graduate of Hawthorne High School and then went on to graduate from the School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University in Newark. Born and raised in Paterson and Hawthorne, he lived many years in Mahwah before moving to Sea Girt 10 years ago. He was a former member of St. Paul’s RC Church in Ramsey and, more recently, a parishioner of St. Denis RC Church in Manasquan. Though a pharmacist by trade, he was a craftsman at heart and he shared his creative and culinary talents proudly and generously whenever asked and wherever needed. He loved his life, adored his family, and cherished his friendships.
Mr. Nuzzo was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Emily Nuzzo. Surviving are his loving wife Mary Ann Lawless Nuzzo; sons, Charles and his wife Hillary of Hawthorne, John and his wife Gina of Mahwah, Paul and his wife Laura of Glen Rock; daughters, Lisa Poeschl and her husband John of West Milford, and Jennifer and her husband Marc Kuchner of Crownsville, MD; brothers, Ernest Nuzzo, Dr. Roy Nuzzo and Dr. Ralph Nuzzo; sister, Frances Gillesheimer; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Denis RC Church in Manasquan. Final interment will be held privately at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah NJ at a later date.
