Obituary for Joseph A Giannuzzi

Joseph A. Giannuzzi, 83, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born and raised in Jersey City to the late Frank and Anna Giannuzzi, Joseph was a former longtime resident of East Brunswick, before retiring to Four Seasons, Lakewood in 1997. Mr. Giannuzzi served his country in the U.S. Army and went on to be a Salesman, most recently working for Slomins Home Security.
Mr. Giannuzzi was a communicant of Church of the Visitation in Brick and was a member of the Golf Club, Men’s Club, and Italian American Club of Four Seasons; where he enjoyed playing pool with his friends at the clubhouse. He liked to spend time fishing, bowling, and doing home improvement projects. Most of all, Joseph enjoyed the quality time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marilyn Theil Giannuzzi in 2011.
Surviving are his loving children, Joseph F. Giannuzzi and wife Marian of Brick, and Lynne Malpas and husband Gary of Florida, his dear brothers John Giannuzzi of Rutherford and Louis Giannuzzi of Manhattan, and his cherished grandchildren, Drew, Patrick, Kelly, and Michael.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Monday, August 18th at Church of the Visitation, Brick. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
