Dr. Bogdan was my pediatrician and even though I lived out of the area I wanted him to be my child’s Dr. also. When I was a kid I actually thought he was my own personal Doctor. I guess that’s because he treated us not so much a patients and kids but as individuals. He always talked to us and asked us how we were feeling as opposed to having our parents talking for us. He worked for many years with my Mom who is an RN, including working together at the Well Baby Clinic so the fact that they were friends made me feel like he was not just my Doctor but also my friend too. I remember when it was time for me to go off to college and get my pre-college physical I refused to go to an “adult” doctor and would only go see Dr. Bodgan. Here I was 17 years old and the biggest “kid” in the office with all of these little kids staring at me. Dr. Bodgan just laughed at me and said he guessed he would see me next year! He was a great friend to my family, a great colleague of my Mom, a great Doctor but most of all a great person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
