Donna J. Riccobono, 60 of Asbury Park passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune with her loving family at her bedside.
Donna was born in Eatontown, grew up in Neptune and then resided in Ocean Twp. for many years before moving to Asbury Park 10 years ago.
She was a devoted Nurse at Jersey Shore Medical Center, who assisted in delivering thousands of babies over her 34 year career. She was an avid shopper and photographer, but was best known for her love of Christmas and the Holiday season.
Donna was predeceased by her mother Geraldine Hubble Riccobono, she is survived by her beloved son Mervin E. “Buddy” Smith III and his wife Christina Caprio Smith of Forest Hill, Md., her granddaughter Giuliana Smith, her father Salvatore Riccobono of New Mexico, her siblings Domenick “Rick” Riccobono and wife Deborah of Brick and her sister Darlene Riccobono of Connecticut and many loving nursing colleagues from Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday from 2-5 & 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:30am at Cross Point Baptist Church, 462 Squankum-Yellowbrook Rd., Farmingdale, NJ 07727. (Please go directly to the Church on Tuesday morning). Burial will be in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
